The 14th ACISP was held at Queensland University of Technology on July 1st to 3rd, 2009. The accepted research papers covered a wide range of fields in information security from theoretical to applications, such as network security, symmetric and asymmetric-key cryptosystem, hash functions, protocols and their implementations. There were relatively many presentations about symmetric-key cryptosystem, in fact two sessions were dedicated on this topic. Altogether, 30 papers were selected from a total of 106 submitted papers. Researchers of these accepted papers were from 17 different countries. Another feature of ACISP is to facilitate active discussions among a presenter and audience, including a chair person, during presentation.
