    題名: ICタグに暗号化は必要か
  

  

    アブストラクト：ICタグほど誤解された技術は少なくないだろう。講演
では、ICタグのISO 委員の立場から、ICタグの技術動向と利用状況につい
て概説する。また、ICタグへの暗号技術の導入は古くて新しい課題である
が、残念ながらICタグの様々な技術的制約や市場性からその導入は必ずし
もうまくいっていない。その理由を説明するとともに、近年、欧州を中心
にした研究されている暗号化機能付きICタグについて紹介する。最後に講
演者の本来の研究テーマであるユビキタスコンピューティングにおけるセ
キュリティ動向について概説する。

    Title: Is There Need of Cryptography in RFID Tags
  

  

    Abstract: RFID technology is often overrated unfortunately.  As a committee member
of ISO for RFID technology,
we briefly survey on the technology and recent trends in its market.
Many researchers have proposed
cryptography technology into RFID tags.  The proposition itself may be
reasonable but cryptography
technology is not used in most commercial RFID products.  We discuss
problems in introducing
the cryptography technology into RFID tags and present some academic
trends in secure RFID
technology.  We also survey security issues and introduce our researches
in ubiquitous computing.
