This year's SCIS was held at the Otsu Prince Hotel in Shiga Prefecture. This is the nation's largest conference on information security. There were 618 participants and a significant number of 358 papers. The sessions covered the wide range of cryptology from attacks to implementations. There was also technical exhibitions by some companies. It is one of the valuable domestic conferences which covers all areas of information security. In particular, the side channel attack was the most focused area which increased this year from three sessions to five sessions compared with last year. We think that papers on attacking and cryptanalysis are increasing.
