Title: Methods for Constructing Hash Functions and their Security
Hash functions are an important primitive for achieving cryptographic
protocols. For example, a random oracle, which is a mathematical
primitive, is often instantiated with a hash function. Techniques for
constructing hash functions and analyzing their security have been
rapidly developed owing to the SHA-3 competition. This talk first
introduces methods for constructing a hash function from a given
primitive. Next, definitions of security and typical attacking
methods are mentioned. Finally, some recent topics are introduced.
