How modern cryptography has been developed and to be.
Modern Cryptography has initiated from 64-bit DES(Data Encryption Standard) block cipher and DH key exchange protocol using public key cryptography
based on the hardness of digital computer attacks. Great breakthrough of designing and breaking a cryptography happened in almost every 10 years up to now.
After S. Nakamotointroduced cryptocurrency "Bitcoin" by combining the popular cryptographic primitives over the distributed P2P network in 2008,
more than 2,000 cryptocurrencies likely Ethereum, Ripple, etcare currently deployed.
But their cryptographic primitives can be broken in a polynomial timeby Shor algorithm using quantum computers which will be available 10 years later.
This talk discusses the historical overview of how modern cryptography has been developed and expect what will come next.
